RamTracks tours at Colorado State University are an informative, hands-on approach for you to explore our University today. As part of a small group, you may step into a research laboratory or a class and meet researchers, students, faculty, and staff. As we travel around campus, we will share Colorado State's treasures with you.

Tour for the Cure

CSU’s Animal Cancer Center is the largest center of its kind in the world. It's the focal point for all university cancer-related activities and has evolved from the identifi cation of cancers to their treatment and prevention. The facility sees more than 10,000 animals each year, and its research in the treatment and prevention of cancer is supported by agencies like the National Cancer Institute, because of its significance for human health.

Global Energy Solutions

June 2008

The global demand for energy is rising, even as global production of petroleum will soon decline. Pollution from fossil-fuel combustion has a worldwide impact on health, and the buildup of greenhouse gases is forcing global climate change. Colorado State University’s Engines & Energy Conversion Laboratory is confronting the global energy challenge through research and the creation of innovative energy solutions and entrepreneurial models which benefit the human condition and achieve global impact.

Sit in on a student rehearsal; talk to a faculty member about our music, theater and dance programs; view our newest arts facility located in the old Fort Collins High School; and end with a hard-hat tour of the newest construction and renovation projects currently underway.

Changing Climates: "The Human Costs"

This presentation will include an overview of our planet's changing climate issues, a talk with Professor Sue Ellen Campbell about the importance of infusing this topic in today's curriculum, a tour of the new "green" Transit Center, and will conclude with the option to attend a university forum addressing the challenges of climate change.
